Education Educational Requirements for Mental Health Counselors. In order to become a licensed mental health counselor in most states, a master's degree is required. Schools offer master's degrees in counseling, psychology and other related mental health fields.


 no I wouldn’t like to be a mental health counselor because I don’t want to be one to much education and also because I am not good at helping people to make them happy and talk about their  feelings
